Really looking forward to these new updates, if the rest of your build is anything to go by I’m sure it will be absolutely meticulous. Credit to you mate for taking it on yourself!
All the best with the rest of the build, Ollie

More progress made today; got the rest of the loom unwrapped, ECU connector unpinned and some of the diesel wiring unpicked. Back at work now until Wednesday, then I’m off for a bit

Yet more photos of wiring, got the T14, T40 connectors wired and changed all the terminals on the existing Caddy wiring to fit in the T91. Shouldn’t be far off completing the engine bay by the the weekend then I’ll move onto the inside; which I’m not looking forward too as it was -5 today (I sat with the heater between my legs all day).
Also came home to my new sports Cat that’s been on order for a few week.
Organised chaos
Terminal differences
T91 starting to fill up
The removed diesel wiring, I wonder how many converted Caddy’s are driving around with all that still in there somewhere..
Until tomorrow

That looks like very involved work mate. As others have said, you’re a brave man!
This is the same conversion that Doc did to his van isn’t it?

Cheers Wayne, it’s the only way to do things.
Yeah Pete, pretty much the same conversion as Doc; but I’m only manual, Doc also done DSG to his.

Offside loom finished and taped back up. While the loom was apart I made up and added a heated washer jet loom and screenwash low level sensor. Also fit the MK4 washer bottle.

Whats the difference or benefit from a Mk4 bottle?

Due to having a MK7.5 GTi bumper with foglights I had to relocate my washer bottle (turn it 90 degrees), the MK4 one is a more OE way of achieving the same outcome.

Thanks, I thought you might say that.

Ianh91 I’m fitting an EA888 (Mk7 Golf R) engine mate.
Dav02 come on Dav eh, what do you think? I’ve even got a new bolt for the screenwash neck
Sean1066 cheers mate, I certainly wouldn’t say that; but I will have well over 100 hours going over diagrams again and again, plus I have done a fair amount of playing about with my white one.
