Ianh91 yeah it should have a bit of go
, sad thing is I’ll probably still drive it like the normal Sunday driver
.
Day off the wiring today to notch my chassis leg for when the air suspension is fit.

Your powering ahead on this. Is the notch for the rear?

So when it’s aired out the chassis doesn’t sit on the drive shaft.

Re: Toffee delights
No that’s just weld through primer I put on to cover it over night; I’ll be rubbing it back down to seal and paint it.

Re: Toffee delights
You really going the whole hog! Is the engine swap simply a wiring change or is there more conversion parts?
Interested to see the finished thing!

Re: Toffee delights
So many new parts to install, very exciting. Will you be finishing up your rear brakes now too?

IainH91 yeah there’s quite a bit to do for it to be right.
FishermansFriend I know I’ll be glad to be able to see my garage floor again and not trip or things everytime I go in. Been collecting stuff for so long now, can’t wait to get it all installed. Yeah the rear brakes will be getting fitted before it goes back on the road.

Re: Toffee delights
Decent day on the van today; finished off the chassis notch, organised the engine bay loom and then got the wires that aren’t required and the new wires into the cab. Unfortunately waiting for some fresh butyle tape to arrive, so can seal up the loom yet; fingers crossed it comes Monday.
I tried to make a comb to produce lines the same as the OE sealer but unfortunately they are too course, I’m sure I’ll get over it eventually.
Finished

Sealing inside the chassis leg (Dinitrol 1000 used)

Primed up (the saviour heater grafting again)

Back to the wiring
