Great work, looks very well. What's the legality of the pressed plates dude? I've been looking at new plates for mine but it seems a bit vague as to what's legal or not.

These are fully BSAU EU etc compliant with fully reflective background and legal font.

Had two new tyres fitted to my S4 alloys today, so will fit them Friday to see how they suit the van.

Still doing work on the van to get it ready to rock down to Cornwall.....

DAB antenna (stubby) fitted and wired. Acquired from Dabonwheels.com.

Fitting the Life twin seat isn't as easy as I expected.....the mounts at the front were positioned on the high points of the floor 'ribs' but the rear ones landed right on the edge....so made some spacers from steel tube and tacked them in place to give a solid and level base.

Image

Managed to pick up some genuine Touran/Caddy front mudflaps......and got my gen. S4 wheels fitted.

Guys I've been offered a 6-speed box form a late mk4 golf gt tdi - code ERF.
Two questions......no, three :)

1) is this a good bedmate for a stock pd105 engine?
2) will I need l special driveshafts (a-la JR or similar)
3) whats a ball park price considering it is uber low mileage and been sat in storage 10yrs

Great project

What did you have in mind for your rear seat belts?

Ive used mk4 rear golf ones on my rear seat conversion, but they lock up when fully pulled out

I have several sets of belts to try. The vag ones all fit the caddy cutouts so just need to add reinforcers and hangers to the designated cutouts already present.

I bought seatbelt plates from eBay, the square ones with a nut welded on

I used an angle grinder and trimmed the sides by 10mm then used a long wire down from the top to pull it up inside the column to the top seatbelt mounting point, I then used a seatbelt bolt and a thin flat bar to hold it in position while I drilled 4 x 7mm holes through the van & plate metal, I used industrial rivets to hold in place, I don't know what others have used?
