I did some research and found out that my BCM doesn't support footwell lights. Funny enough I can tick them in VCDS alright and there is even LED version available to chose from to skip the cold diagnosis but there is no info on wiring them tho.
It seems that my BCM comes only in Caddy and some poverty version American Passats :(

Basically I didnt have the balls to actually start randomly trying pins and stuff. Maybe one day, LOL.

I have them wired as follows:

T52c/10 blue/grey (brown connector)
T52b/43 red/violet (white connector)

The prices are very close for all of them and these were ~€12 each

Here is my post about FL Caddy BCM pinout: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=19356 :)

Long time no updates as plenty of work but not enough time :(

I saw this for sale and couldn't resist not buying them. When I went to see them today at the scrappy they were all covered lightly in mildew and greasy hand marks , but I knew this can all be sorted and I knew that I wouldn't be leaving without them LOL.
Once I got home I got some cleaning stuff out and started scrubbing and this is what they are now :D
They are from 2013 VW Passat B7 R-Line and are absolutely mint!!!!
Have to fit heating elements into them but thats not a problem. Drivers seat has electric lumbar and backrest only so another cool addition to my van 8)
The headrest have a button on the side and make the headrest go up/down as forward and back- not like old type. Never seen this style before
Love them and cant wait to fit them.
The third seat is my R-Line Tiguan seat.

Hi Stan, I know I got a PM from you but can't read it yet (not so many posts).
I've got a question about footwell lights.

I assume that if I've got in my car

Front interior light -W1-
Luggage compartment light -W3-
Glove compartment light -W6-
Rear interior light -W43-"

I need to pin my footwell light into
T52b/43 red/violet (white connector)

Now the tricky part ... or not.
Is there a chance to connect footwell lights to work as the "main" interior light (W1)?. If the switch on the interior light is set to "doors" footwelll lights work when doors are open and a while after closing, if interior lamp is set to permanent on ... footwell lights are also ON ... and when light is set to OFF ... well... footwell is off;)

Or maybe wiring into pin 43 in T52b already makes it.

Hi Marty,

No worries about pm :). I was only asking if you managed to sort the HBA in your Caddy as I have same problem with light assist fault.

Regarding footwell lights idea you have, it would be only possible if you wire them into the interior light unit directly, not just the plug but inside the actuall W1 unit :(.

The T52c/10 blue/grey (brown connector) and
T52b/43 red/violet (white connector) will only control them with door locking/unlocking, doors open/closed, ign on/off. Just like the interior lights. What a shame our BCMs never got the proper setup like tourans, golfs etc :(.

Pozdro!

No ... High Beam Assistant (HBA) is not working and I think I'll sell the mirror and instead of that I'm planning A5 module (in VCDS) to mount (lane assist, sign assist, dynamic light assist). All parts collected to test it but no time.

I have searched the net looking for any infos about HBA and only thing I can say after that is that it works if you have last byte in BCM set to 40 (not 48 or 49 as I've got with working bi-xenons high beams). I have also checked my first autoscan before bi-xenon retrofit and last byte in BCM was 40;) well to late to test it on halogen lights;)

Regarding the footwell light ... well I'll connect them to T52c/10 or T52b/43:(

Pozdro 4 U 2;)

Yes I tried various coding too and had no luck other than the icon showing up on dash in the dark :(

I love the mirror but it seems its useless if it aint working right. But I have something nice lined up in its place...;)
Details to follow hopefully soon.

I wanted to convert that mirror into compass mirror like I did in my R32 but I'm planning to get RNS510 soon so this should have compass I think.
Are you going to mod the windscreen to mount all that? :)

If A5 Camera works ok I will replace windscreen from Touran (if possible - I haven't checked that yet - if someone knows, please let me know) and if not I will try to mod it (with "a little" help from my friend;))

I was affraid of the Touran front windshield when I understood that front doors and wing mirrors are different in Touran.
So some sculpture skills will be needed and we (with my frined) will try to make it work. No problem to buy the camera housing / mount in Asia for about $100...Well ... we will see.

power180 wrote:Hey stan, I have just bought audi a4 s line seats and they have the electric back and lumbar adjustment like your passat seats. Do i need a wiring loom for them or can i simply put a 12v supply to them? if i need a wiring loom ive heard you may be able to sell me 1?
cheers
You can run fused 12v switched live into them yourself if you wish just use appropriate gauge wiring - 2.5mm2 for both power and ground ;)
If you want I can make a loom no problem using matching connectors you already have underneath your audi seats making them pretty much plug & play.

If you need help, let me know.
