It's lowered on vmaxx coilovers, axle flip and it has the rear centralising plates from RAD. They supplied and fitted the lot for me at a very reasonable price.

Beautiful colour, looks super deep. Did you use a PTG before cutting the hell out of it with g3? I've got the same planned on my Pure Grey maxi, some fairly deep scratches here and there, finishing with ultrafina see. I'm not sure how much to cut, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

No I didn't use a paint thickness gauge mate. My van has all its original paint and I have almost 30 years of experience using a rotary polisher and G3 so never saw the need. I machine polish cars virtually every day of the week and couldn't tell you when I last broke through, I've never used a ptg in my life.

Since that photo, I've changed my polishing machine and all my compounds. I've gone over the whole van again with Koch chemie H8 and then M2. This stuff is just head and shoulders better than the old Ferecla and 3M products. I'll never go back to G3 now I've experienced these more modern compounds, different league.

Nothing beats experience! I've done a little polishing over the past 10 years but im not confident enough to cut with a rotary, managed to get a loan of a Das6, so a little safer hopefully. I'll look into the Koch products you mentioned, Cheers!

Thanks. I love the colour too but it's very difficult to get a good photo of it, they never seem to do it justice. It looks much better in the flesh :D

Added a pair of mint golf gti mk7 seats this week. It's amazing the difference they've made to the drive, sitting lower and being held in by the seats is great. They make it feel more like you're sitting in it rather than sitting on top of it.

Picked up a pair of fairly manky R32/S3 brakes a few weeks ago and have been refurbishing/rebuilding them with all new pistons, seals and Hel braided hoses. Was originally going to go with yellow powder coating for a bit of colour contrast with my dark van but decided against it at the last minute. Went for something a bit more subtle in the end. The brakes are now a huge improvement on standard :)
