Rear Lashing Eyes for Maxi Life Roof

Post by Robin UK »

Hi,

From the How To forum I've find what I think is the correct part number for the load lasing eyes (2K0 801 983), but I can't find anywhere which sells them. Does anyone have any ideas?

I want to fit them to the roof lashing points under the plastic covers on my Maxi Life. Has anyone done this? The one point I've looked at seems to have a thread behind one of the holes, but not the other, so not 100% sure it'll work, but I don't need it to take too much load.

To the best of my ability, yes, but I haven't tried using it before, so may well have done it incorrectly...

Does your suggestion mean that you've tried this and had success?

TPS (Trade Parts Services) can usually provide all parts for all VAG vehicles.

Just give them a call quoting your part number and see what they can do.

They normally only deal with trade but ask them nicely and they can normally be only too helpful.

In answer to your question, no I haven't used them to source this particular part....

If you haven't already, try VW for the lashing points, but that should be obvious for a VW part I'd have thought.

Great minds and all that. I came to the same solution Saturday night as a way of storing surf boards on straps. You can find them on eBay. http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_nkw=vw+tie+down" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
