Because of the nr. off modifications I am doing to my new van I thought it deserved his own gallery/ modding log.

A little list what is going to be added tommorow and this weekend.

-Side rail cover ( at the painter)
-W8 light (at the vw dealership collecting tommorow)
-engine cover ( at the vw dealership, needs a little paint)

And the ice off course


Speakers: DLS gothia 6.2 6,5"
Amp: DLS Ultimate A3 2x150watt/rms
Signal cabel: SL3 Ultimate
Power cabel 25mm
Speaker cabel 2,50mm
and some other stuff and lots off silent coat sound damping

What is the black insulation you have used? Armaflex?

Black insulation is Silent Coat Noise Isolator 8
The silver is 2 layers of 2mm Silent Coat.

The bulckhead is an option around 300euros I think . But kills the noise a little bit from the back and you can heat up the car alot faster

love the fact its a bramd new van and your allready taking it apart! wanna kill the sound!

Yes it's brand new just hit 2000km . But I whant it the way I like it so just modify it new or old .

The sound is installed and I am so amazed by the sound quality realy . The amplifier and filters are completly hidden underneath the driver seat just needs a little piece of mat to cover the wood .

And placed the order of the VMR wheels in gunmetal . 18x8,5 et45

Is your van a 1.6TDI 102? If so, do you have the part number for the engine cover and an approximate cost? Is it the same cover that is fitted to all new 2011 1.6TDI VW's, Polo, Golf etc?

I see you have fitted a lot of sound insulation to help improve your sound system....Does the van come with sound deadening under the bonnet as standard, or have you fitted it?
