Bloody Awesome work Hef, you make it look easy.
I just bought my first Caddy, but this is definitely on the list of mods

That looks mint although don't think I would trust myself to do this would end up with to scrap bumpers no doubt

Re: Caddy r32 gti bumpers
Hi mate just noticed i hadnt answered your question, apologies! Yes, my concern regarding leaving any ferrous metal or any alloy that could oxidate, embedded beneath filler, is that it will rust or cause oxidisation that will at worst pop the filler or at least stain the paint. Any metal material behind the bumper is fine of course, just my observation and hope im wrong of course!ferda5 wrote:I left the rivets but wanted a good putty and preparation. All brackets stayed for caddy / touran, I don't understand the question
The other point was i noticed you cut this bracket off which is part of the caddy bumper and is crucial to fix the bumper in place, was just curious how you fixed the bumper on that’s all.
Any pics of the bumper on, looks a fab job on the paint

Re: Caddy r32 gti bumpers
Has anyone ever fitted a golf gti bumper lower half to a prefacelift caddy?
Anyone who could photoshop one?
