You know that thing when you sit on the sofa, eat crap and not win awards?

Re: Toffee delights
I think you’ve definitely proved to a lot of people how amazing the van is, especially with the wider audience that the magazines have. It’s had the recognition it deserves and is an inspiration to all of us on here I think.
Have you got any more mods planned? Hard to see where else you could take it (except 4WD) but I know you keep pulling the ideas out of the bag!

Re: Toffee delights
Thanks for the comments.
I’ve just received an email to say my van has been selected as a finalist for VWBus magazine “Bus of the year”.
I’d accepted that I was finished showing the van, but looks like I’ll have to have one last outing (excluding forum events).
I’ll update the thread once I find out how to vote.

Congratulations Lister
Well deserved mate
You'll have to let us all know how to vote to get your numbers up
Let's hope "mother nature" doesn't intervene and spoil the show (or lead up)

Re: Toffee delights
Can’t believe it was 2021 when I made this comment, working my way back through your thread at the minute. I follow you on Instagram so knew some of what’s happened over the last 2 years. I still have a caddy itch but decided to experiment with an ID3 while the polo was worth good money, got one on lease and hate it So I have until March 2025 to find myself a Caddy and get it how I want it ready for the day I hand the keys back for the ID3!! Like everything in he second hand market the prices are crazy!!Nath&Alex wrote: ↑Tue Feb 02, 2021 8:35 pm @Lister79 I have read this thread from beginning to end over a couple of evenings and have loved it.
There are many fantastic bits but my favourite is you GTD front seats and matching rears
I don’t currently have a caddy yet, I’ve only just ventured into VW ownership over the last 12 months as I bought a new Polo GTI in February last year. I love my Polo but have a real itch for a Caddy especially after seeing yours
Just waiting for my approval for full access to the site so I can make use of all the brilliant info on this forum
Currently on page 63 so not quite reach halfway, but do absolutely love your caddy mate, not phased by your wiring challenges but those plastic interior mods you’ve done thing they would

Not sure whether to go late mk3 or early mk4 Whatever all seem pricey in this crazy secondhand market!!

Not been able to sleep the last few nights and just read this back through from the very start for some inspiration on what I should do to mines, can’t believe some of the details and after having my engine swapped it’s stuff I notice now! Unreal Chris well done, got to say it’s my favourite
