I stuck my cruise on at 50mph on the motorway, with a fully loaded van I was getting 61mpg.....I was quite happy with that.

Wow, some very impressive work done here, I have no clue about all the coding stuff for changing/adding parts, best I do some reading! Love the Tiguan instruments, that’s going on Rooney’s Xmas 2022 wish list!

Been a while since I've done anything other than maintenance and refueling my caddy.
I recently installed a set of Audison APK165P speakers.
After hearing how they sounded in @r1lea van, I knew it was inevitable.
Cost me £156 for the speakers from Amazon and £17.99 for MDF adaptors from eBay.
The adaptors I bought were listed as compatible with Caddy 2004+ but they needed to be drilled.
MDF isn't the toughest material to drill so no big deal really, apart from me drilling them wrong the first time around as I put the speaker and adaptor back to back without first checking it was symmetrical.
I used M6 rivnuts in the door panel in place of the original pop rivets.
I soldered onto the original factory speaker plug to avoid having to add another plug & socket.

For the tweeters, I tapped into the A-pillar socket wiring.

Sounds great now, much better than standard.
Next up will be a Audison active Sub under the seat to fill in the bass.

Cheers guys, I'm really impressed with these speakers.
I punched the back of the rivets out to indent the panel slightly so the adaptors don't sit on top of the rivnuts, turned out ok. Not really that bothered that I drilled the extra holes, the MDF is dead solid.

Stunning van Doc! Do the mk4 rear lights fit straight on to the mk3 or is there a bit of fiddling involved

Cheers @michealcaddy
Check out the how-to topic I did on the rear light retrofit. There is some moving of wires in the plug and some recoding required.

Thank you, tidy was the aim.
It's not been on a dynamometer, my tuner 300bhp is going on past experience with boost levels on these engines.
