Thanks for your reply giddy plus pictures.
How, your wheel sits is exactly how my wheel looks now with the shackle kit, so I want to replicate this on the weld on kit.
I noticed that the kit supplied to me, the saddles look like they have been revised.
Going on retrofications how to states their reasons.
It's interesting to note that you made a centralising lower plate.
I was assuming the new offset hole in the saddles compensated for the axel central position. Along with knocking the pins out of the leafs and refitting the opposite way.
I took note of their instructions and had to go and re purchase new u bolts, nuts and the black top plates again.
Wished I had kept mine now .

Just read through your thread, nice Caddy Giddy 👍🏻

Especially like your new brakes with the Caddy in Porsche font 😁

Certainly giving me food for though with engine choices 🤔 just to make my search for the right Caddy even harder 🤦🏼‍♂️ So a blackberry Caddy with a 1.4TSI DSG 🤔 loved the DSG Box in my AW Polo GTI 😁😍

Looking really good! I have the same colour and engine slowly doing bits. Question on the BOV, do you feel it does anything beneficial? I've fitted an MST closed induction kit and its had a remap so its between the BOV or plough on an look at a new exhaust system.

Hi. It's been a long time since I fitted this. I've changed the whole induction kit at the same time. I don't remember noticing any significant performance increase, but it looks good and adds some fun noises on upshifts :D
I don't think BOV alone would do anything performance-wise on these engines, but in theory it should extend the life of the turbo, as these engined don't have factory fitted BOVs.

Work in progress: Bi-xenon chrome delete and yellow DRLs.

Fun fact - if you dip the chrome parts in bleach and leave overnight, it will eat away the chrome and you'll be left with nice gloss black plastic ;)

Love these!!!!! Glad I'm not the only one mad enough to do it Image🤘🤘🤘

How did you get the drl strip yellow?

What's plan with indicators, just keep the halogen bulb and tinted the lens?

Iv ordered a led strip to try and do something with my indicators...

I really wish I knew that bleach trick 3 weeks ago..... Image

@gazza31112
I've covered the light bar with some yellow Lamin-x film, the side that faces LED boards. You have to separate the LED boards from the light bar to apply the film. I wasn't expecting it to be visible when LEDs are off, but it's a nice side effect :)
Regarding indicators - I was going to fit the conventional halogen amber bulbs, but the light output was looking a bit dull when I tested them. So I've ordered some "super bright" LED bulbs :)

I'm quite surprised it shows through so much aswel, I like that!
And yeah that's the one thing I'm not happy with on mine is just the conventional halogen indicator so I'm going to try and figure some out

What did you use for sealing them back up Giddy ?
I’m gonna split my xenons but I want them sealed right the first time so they don’t get condensation

@J_Con
I have plastic weld them together which actually sealed them very well and also run a bead of windscreen bond on the top just to give a bit nicer look.
