Cheers Colin. Looking forward to fitting them!
It’s also going in to have the bonnet and wing painted next week.
After that, I’m thinking mk4 mirrors, new wheels, maybe some leather seats. New headlights…….does it ever stop?

You can mate. Though mines never going to be a groundbreaking build. There’s a few more mods I want to do in the future though

Well I got my van back from the paint shop on Wednesday. I’m happy with how it’s been done. I noticed today my washers were not working so decided to take a look. Turned out the pipe had split in the bonnet where the pipe work had been removed when the bonnet was sprayed. These things happen (it’s a 11 year old van after all) so I did a quick repair with some flexi pipe and a straight connector and it’s all sorted.

Next job, drive it to Anglesey for the unity show organised my @Heff355. Next job after that, fit the rear lights and get it cleaned up for the Tatton Park show.

The headlights will probably be in in three weeks fella…..I’m working on a discount, but the margins are tight and it will probably be a £10 voucher credit👍

@pete my washers had to be repaired too when I had my bonnet resprayed he too said it split as he was dismantling it to remove bonnet. Have you fitted your tail lights yet or is it all to be revealed at tatton. Not long now at least you got your bonnet done you were saying you wasn't happy with it last year but these things take time and money I have neither at the moment everything is being spent on the money pit we call home 😒😪

I’m guessing with the age of the van, plus the heat in the engine bay the pipe becomes brittle over time. I got some flexi pipe and a connector from Halfords and made a new loom up.
I’m going to fit them this Saturday. I haven’t had time of late. But yeah, mods take me a while as I don’t have much cash to spend on the van.
