Van wouldn’t start yesterday morning, no oil pressure engine warning light on dash checked oil and was just below half way so it has used a bit since last checked a couple weeks back, topped up with with new oil & lights gone off and she fired straight up .

Not happy that low oil should of caused the no pressure warning so naught a new oil pick up pipe & fresh oil & filter.

Bit of gasket in the pick up pipe hopefully this might of been the problem, sump back back on & see how f warning light comes back

Put 200 miles on the van today without the oil pressure warning light coming back on, she’s all good.

Really starting to test my patience, got up to van unwilling to fire at all, after an hour messing around with the ghost immobiliser starter motor off :

Luckily I have blown Touran on the drive so pinched the starter motor and she’s up & running again

Hopefully the bigger motor won’t cause any problems

I can't see how it would. whenever i've changed a starter motor in the past the 2 always look a bit different.

assuming its not crunching or anything like that of course.

Hopefully just has a bit more cranking power for the diesel, no issues so far
