Re: Let the build begin - Plushed VR6
Well, not a great week…
Ran over this…
Which caused this….
Been on less than 2 months! Annoyed is an understatement…
And now…
I’ve an air leak somewhere between my Grinds controller and the front right air bag. Connections are all leak tight, swapped over connections at the controller (loss of pressure remains) could be the airline or the bag. Bag seems unlikely as I’ve sprayed it with leak detector and nothing external. Amazon order placed for some airline to confirm or eliminate the airline before having a good greet if it’s the bag!
Grrr….

Let the build begin - Plushed VR6
Tracked down a few R32 parts locally the other day…
Out with the old golf MFSW.
Control module removal the easy way….
In with my custom steering wheel control module removal tool, okay a bent spoke.
Turn and push the right hand end of the handle to unclip the retaining clip.
And it just drops out, after unclipping the rear clip with one’s finger.
And in with the not so old R32 MFSW with a little soon to be needed something extra
Just need to find a better airbag as the VW logo is a bit worn and scratched.

Jeffers76 yeah, right place right time I suppose. That and way to much time on my hands to search for stuff. Try V.A.G Breakers Scotland. The blokes pretty accommodating and central belt based too.Jeffers76 wrote:Yea, you seem to be able to dig up some nice parts locally, I don't know where you find these as i don't see them

Re: Let the build begin - Plushed VR6
C Chis, I just read your 52 pages! Nice job you did there!! I would have liked to ask you for 2 references of products that you used during your work. 1/ the reference of your brake paint (I like this color!) as well as for the product you use when you work on your plastic parts (for example when you joined your wing strips) because I'm going to have some work future bodywork. In any case, congratulations for the result. I appreciated all the more that the R32 in my Caddy is an idea that has been on my mind!! I am currently looking at engine sales announcements! That's not good!!
As for your little worries of the moment, do not worry, it will be settled quickly! :-) (sorry for my english..)
