Been to Dub Works near Petersfield to get a quote for scratches and scrapes plus bumper crazing. Quoted £1200, ouch. After chatting he dropped it to £800 and said if I can get some new bumpers that are painted in any colour it will be even cheaper. Anyone got spares? :D

I’ve slowed down with jobs, partly due to the charity I work at opening up more and partly due to health.
Jobs to finish off hopefully this week (got all the parts),

Climate to climatic heater upgrade
Shit pipe mod
Finish tv installation
Tint rear lights
Footwell lights
Start on changing switch and panel LED’s
Continue with bed build

How much will I actually get done though? :(

Nice 👍

Really want blue needles, cos they look so good, but not sure if the kits on AliX are any good or fit my cluster ?

That's the best price I have seen.

I was looking at these with LEDs

Need to know what fit for specific clusters as I think there may be different spindle size for different manufacturers
(or something ???)

The LED’s on my cluster are white so for the moment, leaving them. Just do the switches and heater etc. The needles say they fit a 1mm spindle and that they fit a golf so hoping that’s right. Not measured the spindles yet or managed to find anyone else that has.

There's a guy on ebay with lots of upgrade clusters - some with Blue needles, but his listings are all over the place price wise and some of the stories seem a bit, well, odd ?
https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/jic_cracked/ ... 7675.l2562

Not sure if there is much of an upgrade path for clusters for me as I have a highline one now (I think) so only benefit I can find would be a colour pic of the doors open image ?!?
Hence blue needles.

That’s my thinking to.
The hassles to get it recorded seem too much trouble

Yeah, probably slightly more than just simple recoding with all the mileage, component stuff too, and stuff that I don't even know about !!

Have to recode for Immobilizer and it can’t be read off your old one with VCDS so needs a guru with extra tools like Doc
