You need to have a MIB STD2 PQ unit and install MIB STD2 Toolbox on your unit to update firmware.

If you are looking to hook up the Air Quality Sensor it gets 3 wires. Pin 1 is power Fuse 16 on fuse holder C, pin 2 is GND and pin 3 goes to the Climatronic Control Unit T20c pin 4.

I have not installed the lane assist system yet, to get the best out of the system I want to do it with a DSG gearbox and right now my van has a manual.

I was wondering about the illuminated 12v socket and the wireless charging you did for the centre storage compartment...

How did you wire the illuminated element of the socket to come on with the other interior lighting? And does part number 1J0919341G seem right?

And also, how did you bond the wireless charger unit to the underside of the tray? Any tips on the wiring of that?

I have the golf R32 rear caliper's and disc's fitted. Gave the van a clean today for the first time in months, the neighbors must have thought I had my water cut off.

Heading off now for my first carp session of the year. I was out twice doing some pike fishing over the winter and landed this 35lb.

Yes, you would have done. Not sure why but a t6.1 came up. My heart ruled my head and I traded my mk4 towards it.

I will say the spec level of the transporter highline is superb. Driving height is spot on and drivers captain seat is very comfortable.

However, when you get past the honeymoon period I realised I have screwed up. I am doing less Miles each year, van is used only at the weekend for my fishing and therefore I am forever driving around whilst it regens or if it happens when I pull up at home, have to let it complete as these engines like to add more fuelling to the engine and if you turn them off, floods the oil sump with that fuel causing high oil warning messages. Grating on me now, around 60miles each time.
Various other niggles that I don't think are good especially considering how expensive they are (way over priced).

Apart from that it would suit someone who actually drives the van each and every day to fully appreciate it I suppose.

So back looking for a mk5 1.5tsi maxi cargo. Costing me a few quid these vans as I keep letting my heart rule my head .

I also consider Carlinkit. How is the sound quality, do you notice any difference between wireless/cable connection?
I notice difference in volume at least between BT and AndroidAuto via cable. I would prefer wireless AndroidAuto though.

Then I have yet another question regarding the dashboard trim swap you discussed here some time ago. What is the strategy on removing already installed trime from Life or Highline, when I want to swap the color? I tried to lift the shorter part next to the steering wheel, but I was afraid that I will break it. Or is it maybe in the "How to" forum sections I am not yet allowed to see? Guess I shall make more posts

Hello Ukrutony and thanks for having a look over it. I haven't noticed any difference in sound quality between the wireless versus the wired but to be honest I haven't tested it but to my ears they both sound the same.

For the dash vent trims, they will pull out with a small bit of force. The red arrow is the breakline between the dash and the vent, if you pull with some force on the part of the vent the yellow arrow is pointing to the vent will come out.
