Amazing van mate!! That interior is almost identical to what I'm trying to build, but finding those seats here in New Zealand is rarer than rocking horse poop

This company scammed a lot of people, some people even receive empty boxes from him . I hear another person was scammed to the sum of €6,000.00 for a brake set up.

Anyway at least I have something to show for my money. Just have to rebuild them now.

Hi Wayne,

Out of interest are your rear calipers the steel or aluminium versions?

Your new brake setup looks wicked by the way :D

Thanks for an answer FFriend! I guess I try Carlinkit then. Wireless phone connection for starters, and then I need wireless charger. That would elevate Caddy 4 years farther into 21st century. Did you manage to buy wireless charger unit with the cable needed or you had to do it yourself? I have read earlier that you probably posted it to "How to" section, I just was not given permissions yet. So sorry if I asked something that has already been answered. I have seen another charger option in another build but this VW OE unit seems to be the most trustworthy solution to me at least. :)

Questions aside now... All in all I must say that what you have achieved here is admirable.

Hi Ukrutony, I made the wiring myself for the wireless charger. You can but them on Ali Express with the wiring included just search part number 5NA980611. I didn't do the How To yet, but I will get to it soon.

Thanks for a tip. Would you trust it though? I found some labelled as original for cca 80$, but in my head I used to perceive AliExpress as a place to source various trinkets, not real parts or in general something that could be dangerous if done wrong. Am I just too paranoid? Maybe it is on time to forgive chinese for flooding us with garbage and start taking them seriously :D

These one also click into the existing openings on the door handle once you remove the halogen housing. I had to drill a 12mm hole in the back of the door handle plastic support to allow the plug to fit and trim a plastic tab or two. I trimmed a hair of plastic off the door handle opening where the LED units click in, the LED units click in solid then.
Amazing build mate! This whole thread has been such a good read!... So I'm copying this mod and I've bought the lights and plugs but unsure what pins and size of wire you use do you happen to have a link to the ones you use? (I don't have permission to use the technical section yey)

What a build! I started reading this thread during lunch break on nightshift! I’m normally sleeping by 7am. You have done so much and it looks amazing! The cleanliness of the OEM features is right up my street. I’m only on page 29, having to put the phone down at some point. But will carry this read on tomorrow!

You have probably been told this and asked this an awful lot. Them alloy wheels are lovely and really sit well on the van. I am stuck between them or the VW Dallas alloys in 19” et45 8J.

Do them RS7 alloys have a similar size?

Hi Cockers, they are made by VW, they are the All Track Side Skirts.

Thank you Kevmilner, the crimp terminals are 000979019E and Single Core Thin Wall Cable - 0.50mm.

Thank you TomOzz92, I really liked these wheels but I have since replaced them. The wheels I had were 19" et45 8.5j.

Service time and my front brake rotors where looking very dirty from brake dust from the cheap pads brakesKing provided so I bought a set of genuine OEM VW ones and my rotors are nice and shinny again.

Plastic wending completed on the genuine all track wheel arch kit. This is the piece for the rear driver side and took 2 attempts to get right. The 1st attempt buckled under heat because the plastic is very thin where the 2 pieces need to be joined so I had to get new pieces and try again.

Interesting you mentioned Wayne you get a lot less brake dust from the oem pads.

I always found the opposite mate.
Hugh amounts with manufacturers brake pads, little to none with the ebc ultimax road pads.

Perfection as always mate

Hi Dan,

It just goes to show how bad the pads I had in were.
