Caddy cruise control won't go over 74mph?I I
Hi I have a mk3 caddy with cruise control originally fitted to it and the other day on the motorway I was doing 80mph and set the cruise control for it but it went down to 74mph and you can put up the mph with the button and show on the mfd the speed you want like 85mph but it won't go up by 74mph
Any ideas what It can be?

Hate to sound like a pig but wouldn't that be illegal anyway?

I'm sure there's a setting in some ECU that acts as a speed limiter on cruise control.
Did your van ever have a speed limiter enabled?

I'd be 100% certain it's in the engine ECU.
Most likely adaption channels.

This sounds typical of speed limiter removal via remapping.
If it's a 1.6TDI it's an adaption channel you can adjust with VCDS but most remapping guys don't have VCDS so they just turn off the limiter function in the map and forget about the cruise control limit.
