Barn door lock

Minor issue with my rear door lock, when I press remote lock it makes a grinding noise four times but still locks the door, and when vehicle moves off the door makes the grist noise twice EVERY time.
It’s a tad annoying, anyone come across this before is it a strip down and grease up job or a bin it and replace job

That sounds terminal. Sounds like stripped gear teeth.
Probably worth a strip down first but I think you’ll need to replace it.

The majority of times, yes.
I’ve bought bits recently with the part numbers and they didn’t even question who I was.

Mine does the same thing! Has done for a while but I just lock it from the inside If you find the part number could you post it please
