@gman cheers bud having had loud exhausts in my younger days and listening to the drone of them when you're flat out on a long journey I thought I would keep it quiet and did ask for a small silencer to be fitted but nothing to restrict the flow but I think they forgot as I've had a quick look underneath and can't see one but to my surprise it's not that noisy sitting in the drivers seat I can only hear the engine so it's good news to me but the jury is still out on what it sounds like as I drive past maybe a blast down the motorway on my way to Southport will tell 🤔

New addition to the van bonnet insulation and a metal sump guard it's had a dry fit and now I know it fits nicely will get it sprayed up ImageImage

@gmancan1 it sits within the plastic wheel arches slots into the bumper and is bolted on to subframe and a couple of brackets supplied I suppose it probably sits about an inch lower than the sump but better catching that than putting a hole in the sump which was the reason I bought it

I've been eyeing up one of those metal undertrays, are they any noisier than a plastic one?

Finally got round to posting photos of recent upgrades new suspension with the 55mm strut and ended up going for 312mm discs with tiguan calipers and pads also managed to spray up the sump guard in an inconspicuous orange

@gazza cheers mate it took a while to get it right as I thought the gti caliper i bought would fit the new 312mm discs and for the time being use existing caliper in the end I stripped down the brakes on my wife's tiguan to see what would fit luckily everything fitted and bought the same parts if I'd have done that in the 1st place I could have fitted the 330mm discs
