I changed also the DRL from halogen to LED which are "error free" (let's hope) . Huge difference compared with the halogen bulb. ImageImageImage

I know it doesn't seem much, but all the ugly yellow light had to go, including the glove box light.
Much better now...ImageImage

I changed the headlight switch with a MK7 Golf type which fits for PQ platform. Really wanted this model instead of the MK6 one. Was a bit afraid that the backlight color is white, like the Mk7 Golf, but it's red as I wanted. ImageImageImage

I managed to find a Skoda engine cover, which is half the price of a VW one, and just removed the Skoda badge. First I did a mistake and bought one for the 2015+ generation, but after I saw that it doesn't fit I searched again on the forum and found the right pictures and part numbers for the 2011- 2014 Caddy.
03L 103 925 AR or 03L 103 925 R.
I also bought the 2 ball head bolts and the O-ring. ImageImageImage

I've managed the same but using a Seat Alhambra 2011 engine cover. I also bought the two mounting bolts and oil filler surround and it fits my sons Caddy 2014 1.6tdi perfectly.
Worth noting that the sound insulation comes of very easily via little locating lugs at the back and this then allows access to the small plastic clips that hold the grey and black parts together. I took it all apart for cleaning and it was much easier to do a through job. If you decided to spray the VW logo this would be the best way of doing it.
The Seat badge over the VW one took some prying to get it off but is only held on with some sort of strong double sided tape. I used some carbon fibre effect wrap that I had knocking around to recover the VW and TDI logos, a sharp craft knife was needed though.
Looks great and about half the cost of a VW one!
