Remap worth it?

Post by Bkracing83 »

Hey guys contemplating a remap on the caddy currently have 2017 black edition, do people think it is worth it or will it cause unnecessary strain on other engine parts? Also is there a preferred specialist have seen people like Wolfsburg.

100% worth it.
Mine is the 2.0 TDi 101ps engine. And it was rather guttless. Since the remap taking it to 180ish. It’s like a new van and much happier driving it.

Thanks Dave, is there a preferred place to go for a remap on here?

Mine hardly changed.
Obviously if you drive flat out everywhere you will use more. But general use it's the same. I usually sit around 45mpg. And I'm a little right foot heavy too.

Not really sure how you'd get better MPG and more performance. You could go for a remap for more MPG but you won't get the 180bhp. Might get a small increase though.

Remap makes loads of difference..

Where to go depends where you are located if you are willing to travel etc?

I recommend dubunit 100%

Definitely a high quote, I'd reckon you would get two vans remapped up this way and still have change out of £415+VAT.

I paid around £400 ish for mine but they did the EGR and DPF delete at the same time so bit more on the labour side really

I thought This was high.
What does the egg and dpf delete do?
I had the dpf light come up after a week of having the van. Doing short journeys isn't great apparently so sore online to sit in between 2/3 thousand Reves helps burn the soot on the dpf, since doing this it has been okay but time will tell I guess.

You should be paying less than £200 for a remap IMO
