I've done the same. I did a bit of mapping myself so it was a case of changing the gear ratios and flashing the ECU. The van still run before I did flash it and sometimes it would think it was in 5th and the cruise control worked. Then other times it didn't. It's a great upgrade and worth the effort. Hope it goes well

@BlackEdition what car did you get the 6 speed conversion from? It's on the long to do list for my van.

Doing this at the moment with a 1.6TDi. By all accounts the issue is with the ECU, softwares different.

Unsure how the EDC responds vs the PCR ecus on the 1.6 but bought an ECU from the touran that the 6spd set came from incase there were other weird differences in the coding options that would also need to be changed to get the cluster to accept 6spd coding.

Sorry to disappoint but it's not something I'd do due to the risks involved

any details of what’s involved…
got a DFSD 2.0 5sp manual at the moment.

what’s needed as parts…
what 6speed gearbox code works.!?
will i need new drive shafts!?
found o2q gearboxes but any o2q ??
not worried about 5th6th speed cruise and or the start stop working…
just want the newest gearrbox possible of which cars would work.

any details would be appreciated

MQ350 TWH is the box I used. It's harder than the one from the 150 caddy which 6th gear is pointless
NFZ is the one they fit in the 150 but my brother changed it to a TWH due to it being to easy
Yes new drive shafts needed
Used the same cable as it's hardly different in length
Hope that helps

Antcaddy, what driveshafts did you use?

I'm having major issues with mine.

I have used the PDT gearbox out of a GTD golf mk7. I did the install about 2 years ago. I used original drive shafts but can't remember if I switched the gearbox flange cups from my 5 speed over to the new box it was that long ago

Basicly that box broke as the casing got damaged and i replaced it for another PDT gearbox that a mechanic fit.

I was running original drive shaft but I've been through 4 drive shafts in the space of 2 months since that 2nd gearbox has been fit.

Some advice would be appreciated

@R8ruma not sure how you managed to fit your original shafts as they 5 speed are too long so that might be the issue. You'll need to get the shafts off a 6 speed

Do you happen to have a list of parts numbers I'd need for the conversion?
2.0 dfsd 5sp currently

With the TWH box what rpm are you at when cruising at 70?

What was needed to get cruise to work in 6th?
