Bought some Low profile unwin track to make a bike carrier, attached with the tie down loop fixings.

I set it back with an offset plate made from 5mm dural, so my lads bike will overlap with the holder directly on the rail.

Added another bracket for the lads bike. Found it was a bit flexible with the rail only mounted on the ends using the tie down bolts. So I bonded a piece of aluminium box with 5mm wall thickness, to the floor under the plastic trim. Fits nicely without any modification to the trim. Drilled and tapped to M6 thread do there’s four more mounting points. Solid now, pretty happy with this mod, I could easily get three bikes in with the single rear seat for the third passenger.

Vibe component speakers in. That’s a massive difference from the crappy factory speakers!

Great build does your trip buttons work on your stalks since changing them?

Ben’s Kombi build

Thanks Yam442, yes the trip buttons work fine, giving fuel consumption information, ambient temperature, trip mileage. Useful upgrade. I’d like to change my clocks for highline at some point so I get Nav and radio info too.

Having all that space but no way to store things securely.. I didn’t want shelving or cupboards as it’ll take up bike space and I want to keep things flexible for occasional camping/multi use. These cargo nets from Amazon are just the ticket. They come complete with fixings and I can put things either behind them or in them as they open up (double skinned) from the top.
Perfect size for a caddy!

Wheels fitted. The poke seems to fill the arches nicely without being OTT. They’re 8J ET45 18s. Really need to lower now, especially the front! I’ll have to save some pennies for that.
