Old steel sub frame, shafts and arms off. Then installed the aluminium subframe temporarily to support the steering column.

Diesel tank dropped...

For all those who want to do a tfsi swap from a diesel... the difference between the two tanks is quite a lot. I wouldn't convert the diesel to take petrol.
Plus we noticed the petrol is now lined with a white coating - maybe to do with the amount of ethanol creeping up in fuel now.

New petrol tank, lines installed, with the gti fuel pump wearing the caddy hat to secure it in place. Going to about 360bhp, the standard fuel pump is more than enough.

Also properly painted and lacquered the tank straps.

Cracking build!

Really, really nice to see a build getting done with the right parts and also with all the supporting mods to make it as OEM as possible!

Then installed all the vibra-technic engine mounts bar the small dog bone insert which I need to freeze first before inserting.
