Old steel sub frame, shafts and arms off. Then installed the aluminium subframe temporarily to support the steering column.

Diesel tank dropped...
For all those who want to do a tfsi swap from a diesel... the difference between the two tanks is quite a lot. I wouldn't convert the diesel to take petrol.
Plus we noticed the petrol is now lined with a white coating - maybe to do with the amount of ethanol creeping up in fuel now.

New petrol tank, lines installed, with the gti fuel pump wearing the caddy hat to secure it in place. Going to about 360bhp, the standard fuel pump is more than enough.
Also properly painted and lacquered the tank straps.

A little more wiring done today… anything relating to the tdi has been removed and tfsi fuse and relay board installed…

Then installed all the vibra-technic engine mounts bar the small dog bone insert which I need to freeze first before inserting.
