Another Grey Caddy...

Post by mr_sjh »

Thought I'd start a build thread to document my micro camper build now I've got my Caddy to what I think is a reasonable standard.

For those that haven't seen my intro, my name's Steve and this is my 2014 SWB Caddy.

I'm sure I don't need to list what I've done, it's what you'd expect really... Coilovers, 19" wheels, the usual black bits and a touch of yellow.

Totally agree! I'll try keep the photo whoring to a minimum but it's hard not to take pics when she looks so well in the sun!

That said I will upload some interior shots later

Been away so apologies for the silence.

I had originally planned on doing something very similar the using the same company but their 5 to 8 week lead time was leaving things way to close to call for me as i'd already committed to a holiday on the 28th of June so ended up having to find a van that was already done.

Really looking forward to seeing how this one turns out.....lovely looking van mate, hope it turns out well 8)

Thanks, I am very impatient but I've nothing diarised so hoping it's worth the wait, I'll keep you posted!

Remap done today along with EGR delete and DPF bypass.... definitely noticed the difference but I am a bit concerned I might have to have the DPF software reversed.

Can anyone advise?

Little update from me, I reversed the EGR/DPF bypass and now the stage one map is just fine :)

First winter in the van and instantly regretted smoking my standard headlights (see photo above) so upgraded to these from travelinlite.

Very happy with the aesthetics, sweeping indicator is cool and I can actually see where I'm going at night which is a plus...Image

Hi.
What front bumper is that? (Hope not to offend) I don’t know much about these!
Is it standard but with a spitter added?

Yep, no offence taken.
Bumper is standard and the splitter is from TRC. Image
