Thank you.
Another update to the caddy.
I bought a reversing camera kit from vagtec, and with the weather nice and dry Decided to get it fitted.
The kit came nicely packaged with a sticky label to show where to terminate the open cable ends.
Wiring loom was probably the longest part to get into place.
Required one half of it to follow the main rear pdc/rear tail light loom to the front cab, and the other half to go down the left rear quarter were you will need to get your earth from the stud, and splice onto the reverse tail light trigger wire.
At the cab end, it was a case of routing the red 12v power feed cable to the interior fusebox under steering wheel.
Now this will need to be crimped with a junior power crimp so that you can push it into the correct fuse way.
For whatever reason, the instructions recommended fuse18 on the C part.
This is incorrect as the caddys have no ignition feed busbar link over to this fuse way. We'll at least not on my model caddy.
The available one is fuse sc23.
You will need to slide the purple tab out in order to fit the crimped terminal.
I then fitted a 5amp fuse for this circuit.
The other part of the harness needs to be routed to the headunit.
Once there, you will need to remove the headunit and unplug the quadlock plug.
Remove the blue 12pin plug and lift up the 2 tabs to allow the 2 crimped cables to be inserted in.
White one goes to pin6 and black one to pin12.
Then to code I used obdeleven.
Not much information on obdelevens forum on this, so I scrolled through the modules on my caddy that I thought would be applicable.
I have screenshot these from my obdeleven.
Will need to go into
