Front seat upgrade

So I’m starting to upgrade the interior and have been waiting to find a nice set of heated mk7 gti fronts seats well Saturday I picked up a nice set cleaned them up and fitted them on the touran bases I had previously purchased and I must say how pleased I am with them they look so much better and feel great !

Does any one have the contact details to the persoon who does the wiring looms for the heated seats as this is my next job on the list . I can’t pm anyone as I don’t have access yet .

I have purchased a heater/ aircon unit from a 2008 touran with the heated seat buttons which is the same year as my caddy just so it stays oem look and hoping a loom can be made to connect that to my mk7 gti heated seats ?

I’m looking to do the same to my Caddy, with the GTi seats. Did you try your GTi seats on the standard bases at all before putting the Touran bases in? Just wondering if there is any difference in height or whether the Touran bases are identical in height. I’m keen to keep my seating position as low as possible.

No I didn’t try my gti seats on the standard bases I just put them straight into the touran bases so not sure but I’d guess you would sit a lot lower on the standard bases looking at mine. I just pumped the seat as low as it will go

Does the mk7 airbags fit without modifications?

My previous seats didn’t have airbags so I won’t be wiring the airbags in the gti seats up
