Weird Service interval warning?

Hey fellas,
I've got an Australian delivered 07 1.9TDI and I did an oil change back in July last year and reset my service warning.
I've done about 3,000 kilometers since then and now when I start it up it's telling me "Service Due Now" every time.
What the kind of hellish service interval is this?
it's only been 7 months/3,000k's between services.
All I can say is... what the heck? CAn anyone shed some light on why it's come up so prematurely?
