Had my Caddy 5 serviced 3 weeks ago, 3 days ago the oil overfill warning appeared on the dash. I believe this is a common issue with vw due to the engine being shut down during a dpf regeneration, Im having some oil removed to allow the oil fill sensor to see the drop and switch off the warning and then will top up to the recommended level, my questions are- Has anyone else had this issue and used the same fix, if yes has the issue reappeared?
No info on display that a regeneration in the dpf is definitely a hindrance
