Again been a bit since any updates.
Over the last while it has been just ticking little odds and bobs off as I go. I have since taken it for it's first proper test drive being able to take it for about an hour drive unregistered on an Australian UVP for testing, that threw up numerous issues, one which ripped the ABS sensor clean out of the front left hand corner, the other a fuel pump controller line issue.
So since the last update I have done the following:
- Extended the fuel pump controller wiring to keep it in the cabin.
- coded the mk4 tail lights in properly
- coded out some of the monitoring of lights that clearly work but are now LED
- coded several other basic behaviours
- reassembled the entire dash setup
- removed the old rubber rear mat in the cargo area
- cleaned the floor
- installed dynamat in the floor and roof of the van
- replaced the rear shocks with some from our other van to get it past rego
- got the van engineered for Australian roads (big big one this one)
- booked in the blueslip for a registration check ahead of gaining registration
- installed 6R front callipers with new rotors and pads
- installed a new back right bump stop
- removed all the remaining wrap off the van
- new phone holder installed.
The next few steps are:
-getting the blueslip completed for registration
- registering it
- new head unit, thinking RCD330 or 340
- building a rear floor from marine ply and some carpet
