Seeing as I'll only use this connected to my phone I can't see it going wrong, was weird with chinese videos and songs already loaded on it but deleted all the files for them and it's good now Image Image

Morning mate, I really like the look of these. I know you've not had it long but what's your opinion on it so far? Does it integrate with the van like a standard head unit, as in does it with work with MFSW controls and dash display?

Cheers.

In short, yes. It bolted and plugged straight in and worked with steering wheel controls immediately, although some buttons don't do as they maybe should (Voice command mutes for example) but this may be because it's an added steering wheel. All the media controls work though. Having driven 6+ hours over the weekend with this connected to my phone I can't fault it. Phone connection worked great (Android auto) and is easy to navigate when driving. Only thing I've noticed is it can take a while to boot up if the van has been turned off for a long period of time (24ish hours) this is probably no more than 10 seconds, just slower than the previous radio, so if you turn ignition on then put stuff in the back or faff about it's negligible.

Splitter died. 2 years it's been cracked and finally gave way going down the motorway. Zip ties fix everything, reckon this fitting method is stronger than the original Image Time for a TRC splitter! ImageImage

If getting the radio from Pluscenter.co.uk it's well worth signing up for their mailing list to get a discount. Just unsubscribe after placing your order

TRC splitter fitted, fog light trims repainted as I had the bumper off, removed the chrome rings and tinted the fogs after polishing did nothing to make them look better. Kinda liking the stealthier look of them now Image

I've been prepping my rear bumper to repaint over the last few weeks, I've filled the parking sensor holes and line around the bottom of it but as it's been a rainy day my job today was fitting this steering wheel cover from Stitching Cover. A tight fit and good quality, took my time to stitch it on and very pleased with the results. I did remove the wheel and all the trims to tuck it in tight around the edges so that helps rather than shoving the excess into the gaps as they suggestImage

Really like the mods you have done. The arch storage is a really neat solution.
Realised looking back through your build that we have had similar ideas about door storage. Fixing bikes with a rail fitted to the floor is something I will be doing too.

Really good outcome considering the title of your post.

Thanks both. The steering wheel cover was about £60, bought it a while ago so can't remember exactly.

As a van there's loads of room but very few cubby holes and places to put things to stop them rolling around so any storage solutions I can use I will. I titled it 'Not a Show Van' because friends told me that's what it is. I've never taken it to any shows, I just get ideas from those that do

I love the new splitter! Subtle and classy with a sporty look! Might order myself one once Ive painted my front bumper.

Also, top job with the stiched SW cover!

Got the fist coat of paint onto my bumper over the weekend. There's a few imperfections but only if you look up close, will be having more coats of paint and sanding so hopefully they will clear up a bit. For a DIY job I'll take this Image

Quick evening mod yesterday, Audi 8v vents fitted and oh boy do they look good! Will be nice to direct the air flow at myself when I'm driving instead of vaguely in my direction ImageImageImage
