Hi all I've decided to turn my 13 caddy maxi life WAV from a motorcycle hauler into a day van. Its going to be a basic build long term project. I will add photos as and when I can here's what I've done so far....
- cut and trimmed the folding ramp
- removed the corner bumpers and cross member parts
- cut and trimmed the bumper end caps.
- fitted a towbar
- fitted a new complete rear bumper
Started to make a bed base with making use of the dropped floor space for storage. The rear seats will form part of the bed when folded down so will have a full length bed, then simply fold the seats back up and off we go. It's going to be a simple practical build. I will in the future fit a night heater but for now I will have a portable fridge, cooker and TV that's about it. Everything will be fully removable so the vehicle can still be used to haul big items if needed. One thing I have noticed is now the towbar is fitted the backend bottoms out over bumps more than it used to. Might need new springs / shocks?.
