2008 Ravenna blue caddy build

Post by Billy.2kcaddy »

Hi all, just another build thread to keep track of my caddy purchased around 2 months ago now. Stuff I've done so far;

Rear de-wiper
Sound deadened the back
Insulated the back
Touran highline clocks (midbeds coding)

Van is currently at PD parts having a pd130 swap as shortly after I purchased the van, the oil light flashed constantly ( 4 psi oil pressure Image), but it should be very punchy when its out.

Hopefully, I can update this regularly when I've got it back.ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

It's night and day difference, I've not fully finished either! I went with a more expensive brand just for the piece of mind.

I would definitely recommend using what I've used as it's so thick and very easy to apply in sheets.

So I had a 90-mile back from picking my van up from pd parts uk, and it drove absolutely spot on! Plus, a sneaky pic of the clocks that were done just before it went in for an engine swap by midbeds coding. Nearly on to the fun stuff ImageImageImageImage

not much of an update, but I made a little bracket for the intercooler pipe work. Replaced the number plates and am currently just waiting on a new exhaust and induction kit.Image

Air filter half done today, waiting on the top silicone part and it bothers me that i haven't got anything to hold that 90 degree bend but I will try and make something soon to support it without the bottom of the airbox and a cable tie ImageImage

Pretty productive day. the exhaust turned up (without the resonator Image🫣).

I made a custom sub box for behind the drivers seat, which I'm gunna have a thinner 10-inch subwoofer installed with a four channel amp for the rear speakers.

Brought a bulkhead for £30 and managed to get that all cut up ready to carpet and reinstall once the fabric for the inside comes. ImageImageImage

Little bit more progress, popped to an audio shop, and was recommended this little vibe amp, which should be more than ample for the sub.

I'm still waiting on the 4 channel amp for the speakers, which will go next to the sub and then a test run before undoing everything and putting some fabric on the box.

Was hoping for the amps to go together but didn't realise how big the alpine one I've brought is and how small the mono is Image.Image

So.. new head unit and all wired in.
Both amps for the sub and front components wired in and crossovers wired in.
Future wiring sorted for rear speaker pods.

I got given the wrong speaker adapters for the fronts, so I'm awaiting my delivery tomorrow so I can get them in and running.

I am also waiting on my adapters for the tweeters Image

But we do have BASS, so that's good. It's all very rough atm until I get the back carpeted. ImageImageImageImageImage
