Project Daily

Post by Momo Signs »

Hi, I'm Tomos.

Last year I changed career and went self employed as a Traditional Signwriter. I absolutely love it and this part's super exciting for me. Since going full time I've been making do between my t5 camper and my a3 as work vehicles, neither of them ideal. Always felt aweful throwing kit/paint ladders in the camper and cars are rubbish for loading loads of kit in and out of every day.

Always wanted a caddy maxi and after quite while looking I finally bought an ex BG 2.0tdi. I wanted it to be quite tidy as I'll be hand painting some stuff on this in the near future. Got lots planned and already (without full access) this forum's been really helpful.

Being one of the newer ones it has one of those annoying side vents, which'll have to go at somepoint. If anyone's selling a tidy door hmu!

Drove over to my mate's garage to rip it out and stash it for later use...will use it as workbench storage when i build a workshop.

Also pulled out the front seat and fitted a touran base and a temp seat until I get some nice ones

Welcome to the forum mate, I’m an ex BG owner too. I’m looking forward to seeing what you do with the signage on your van. You’re a dab hand with a paintbrush by the looks of it!

They look perfect almost brand new I've been looking for a set of seats but their either way to expensive or totally shot at with rips or worn-out leather :|

Aye there are some dreamers out there overpricing, there are good seats out there to be had still. Picked these up off ebay. Find someone with a full set and make them an offer for just the fronts. There's a set of full electric rs5 seats (in white...probably would have died them) i was tempted by on for quite cheap at the mo

Put a paintbrush on my van for the 1st time (not in the way I'd planned lol).

Pulled the nasty wheel trims off and the steels were tatty so slapped hammerite on them to make them look marginally less sh*t. Wont have money for wheels for a while, lots of big spends at the mo.

Currently finding this forum addictive af, I'm assuming everyone else obsesses on what you can do to your van?
