3.2 v6 DSG Supercharged conversion
I’m going to graft the chassis rails from this old A3 so cut it in half as only really need the floor section

A little easy to manage now a bit more trimming then off to the sand blaster to get everything cleaned up before drilling out spot welds etc

Pineapple1984 loving the idea of the watts linkage on the rear I looked into this a few years back but was told it wasn’t possible on a caddy, have you got any more info and pictures of how you done it that you wouldn’t mind sharing

@Azz03 sorry mate I’ve just seen your question of course here’s some pics. Note this was done in a very short time frame so I didn’t spend hours on it. But I can say is it works and definitely stops the lateral sway but you do still get slight up and down deflection but they could be the cheap dampers I had on at the time

The bolt through the axle is drilled at the “roll point” which is dead Center on a rigid axle, also it’s a 15mm high tensile bolt to avoid breaking (mine put up with the Nürburgring okay so I guess that’s a good test) put it in a search engine and it will give you all the info you need.

The watts linkage is for a PT cruiser just slightly lengthened on the near side you can find the kit on a well known bidding site

The picture quality is a bit poor I’m afraid but you can see the brackets welded to the chassis legs.
Note the height of my van from previous pics if you have it absolutely slammed on the floor you may run into clearance issues that you may need to adapt to.

Re: 3.2 v6 DSG Supercharged conversion
So progress has been a bit slow due to other things going on business wise and personally. Nothing bad just a lot at once so reduced my time to get on with the caddy and this is the sort of job that it’s hard to do 20 mins here and 20mins there…. If you know what I mean.

Re: 3.2 v6 DSG Supercharged conversion
More prep on the van underside still only got the front camera on my phone after the welding spark incident previously hence the nose shot included

Re: 3.2 v6 DSG Supercharged conversion
Bit more trimming and tweaking to get them somewhere close
