Glad you’re enjoying the thread though.
I have a question actually regarding coding for ABS module. Did your touran ABS support the haldex or like me did you need to change the module? I’ve got an R32 one to go on but not quite got around to fitting it yet!
Been there...

I had to swap the ABS unit. Turns out the hydraulic block was the same, just the module part needed swapping, though I did swap the whole thing... then a valve stuck and I swapped back to my original  Mine was just MK60, not EC1. The MK60 block has a 4 digit code engraved in the alloy and if they match, they're the same setup.

I used a unit from a mate wrecking an R32.

And that is as far as I got in regards to engine assembly other than putting the crank in with new mains, thrusts and bolts. I forgot the fact the vr6 has a bevelled cylinder so a standard ring compressor is no good, so until the tool turns up that’s it for the minute.

I didn’t get any proper pics of the upgraded clutch change in the DSG but if anyone needs to change one on a DQ250 you remove the cover for the clutch then the circlip on the basket then the snap ring on the shaft

Slide the new one on and put a 2.00mm snap ring in that comes in the shim kit. Measure the end float on the clutch basket only with a dti and write this number down.
Mine was 0.15
Then measure the end float of the primary shaft
Mine was 0.10
Then take the last figure from the 1st figure so 0.5
Then add this to the constant value 1.85
So mine was 1.90 this gives you the correct snap ring size to set the end float

Change the cover when you reassemble or from experience they leak
