There it is Haldex wired in. Few faults to rectify mainly down to the ABS now showing incorrectly coded. Suspect il need to change it for something compatible or a jumper wire. Il do some research unless anyone reading this knows of course???

Spot of icy road driving, would probably have some traction if I wasn’t running on AD08 Rs tyres but the haldex works incredibly well regardless.

Still got some finishing touches to do on mine so il
Add those bits as we go. Il also try and get a video of the haldex working on the ice/snow providing it doesn’t warm up.

You either love a vr or you don’t…. I really do!! They are bloody heavy but have loads of character and modding potential.
The box is not too bad to be fair it’s a 2004 a3 box with torque restriction lifted and clutch clamping pressure ramped up to handle the extra power. I don’t think it last forever but it’s not doing to bad for a 20 year old gearbox

[mention]Pineapple1984 [/mention] oh yeh I’m a massive fan of the vr6’s like you say pretty heavy lumps but do sound incredible, yeh doesn’t sound too bad for 20 year old gearbox but as you said it won’t last forever lol. What other newer gearbox’s are available to just bolt into your set up now

I can go for a later dq250 ideally out of a TT 3.2
(Likely had an easier life than an r32) they bolt straight in. But what really want to
Do is fit a DQ500 out of an rs3 but this will need an adapter and change of drive shafts etc so il probably hold fire on that at the moment.
