Mfd mk4 2016 how to change settings why doesn’t the mph change
Hi guys I’m new to vag cars so don’t know how to access the mfd settings all the videos I’ve watched say to hold a button on the steering wheel but i don’t have steering wheel controls, Only a toggle switch at the end of my wiper
Also the mph on the display doesn’tchange when im driving ill put some pictures up to show what i mean. Im not sure if these are like a average mph or whether they are supposed to show you actual speed?
Any help’s appreciated just have no clue

Might be wrong but I thought all mk4 highlines came with mfsw's? Have you got nav and auto wipers/lights?
I have a 18 trendline (middle spec) and my mfd is a different layout and font to yours and fully controlled by steering wheel.
Again I may be wrong but those clocks look startline to me ?

Oh really? Learn something new every day, I thought the top spec trim would have them as standard.
Yes your right, just had a read up, the mfsw is an optional extra

End of right hand stalk is scroll through on bottom at about the centre of the left hand stalk is a button for 1/2 (for example av speed overall or average speed of current journey)
I have
Average speed
Oil temperature
Travel time
Consumption
Ad blue range
Range to empty
Av consumption
Distance

The menu "pages" in the photos are average speed and speed warning (for winter tyres etc.), this midline instrument cluster does not show digital speed info.

Thanks for the clarification, is it a big task changing to high-line cluster?Doc wrote:The menu "pages" in the photos are average speed and speed warning (for winter tyres etc.), this midline instrument cluster does not show digital speed info.

If you can find someone with the equipment to transfer you immobiliser, component protection and odometer data, it should be simple.

See mine does have a digital speedo, in a trendline, all very confusing, no wonder I'm always wrong

The VWCV UK trim level does not dictate the level of all components on a vehicle.
You might find that someone has specified for hands free phone at order time on a trendline caddy, therefore you'll have a highline instrument cluster.
