2015 door loom plug removal

Post by agent smith »

Hi folks..probably been covered a couple of times but how do you remove the rubber boot and plug from the body side of the door loom...iam fitting electric windows to the Caddy and I spent a fair bit of time today trying to remove it..any help would be most appreciated.
Cheers,
Matt

The rubber boot should have a ribbed section which you need to press on to release the boot from the body.
Once the boot is off, the lever for the plug needs to be moved to release the plug.

Thanks for the quick reply..
I managed to disconnect it but broke the top tab in the process ha ha..will see if I can use hot melt glue it to seal it to the A pillar....there was plenty of clearance for cables to run though that plug, so no drilling required..
