So a few bits done over the last while, fitted a new grey rear bumper. Passed the annual CVRT test no issues with the touran xenons.
Picked up a new trailer which will be on the caddy occasionally if carrying light bulky loads.
After I collected it (photo below) I fitted a hitch which was higher to level the trailer. Tow all height is now 19.25 inches.
Finally bit the bullet and ordered a pioneer double din CarPlay head unit as the RCD330 reception and hands free quality had turned very poor.

Just an update on this, I’ve fitted a new pioneer double din head unit and a new reverse camera which to be fair is excellent.
No other issues apart from servicing and fitting four new tyres.
It’s doing serious trips round the country such as Sligo to Cork regularly which is getting tiring. So it might be moved on for a car.

Update on this, my new VW thermostat I fitted in Sept 2023 failed after a year (stayed open) so fitted a new thermostat and all is good again.
A Yuasa 096 battery I got in Halfords failed also after 9 months. It held a charge but wasn’t able to deliver cranking Amps. I returned that for a replacement battery today.
