Rear torsion bar bushings. First two bolts snapped within the first 5 minutes. Last two came loose with some rust penetrating spray and a lot of heat.
Spent a long time trying to weld on some nuts to the broken bolts. When that failed I used a bolt extraction together with some heat. Ended up making the situation worse and snapped the extraction tool inside one of the bolts. Went back to welding and managed get them loose in the end.

Man what a stinker! I did this on mine a few weeks ago, and luckily only one snapped, and i got it out first try when welding a nut to it. but when that doesnt work its such a pain in the ass

Yeah, it sucks! I had more plans for the car over the weekend, but that put me of doing any more work. Had initially planed to change the rear spring bushings as well. But now i realise i better get new bolts before starting that job.

Finally found some motivation and time to tint the small A-pillar front windows. Really neat that they came out and that I could do it in an ergonomic position for a change.
Happy with the result! Now just let’s hope that I get to keep it tinted when doing an equivalent to MOT in Sweden next time.

Disassembled every panel and trim above the dashboard. Then scuffed it up, painted with plastic primer, acrylic paint ( RAL7024 grafite grey) and the 2k matt clear coat. Hope the colour will match with all the other trim panels. Didn’t like the two tone interior with light colours.

Thx Biggerbelly! It came out better than I thought! 1 can of Plastic Primer, 4 cans of acrylic paint and 1 can of 2k matt clear coat. Maybe could have used another layer of clear.

Decent, but not a perfect color match, i used U-pol plast-x 5 Dark gray. Its slightly darker but not a big deal
I havent checked the color match in daylight yet! But I hope its close. Although, it will have a different texture, so it will be a little bit difference anyway.
Did you also change the color of the inner roof?
