Cam belt change, garage recommendation

Post by Jca730 »

So the time has come to get the Cam belt, water pump and pulleys changed but the local independent has quoted over £700.
Does this sound right as I don't remember being anywhere near this figure last time.

Any recommendations for garages local to Rugby would be appreciated plus confirmation that this pricing is competitive.

Cheers Joel

That's a bit steep if you ask me.
You are within driving distance of the cambelt king (Matt @ DubUnit), if you value your money and have time to make the trip then give him a call for a price.

I had dealer put new belts ,water pump and a full service, oil change etc the bill was £700 even its like they put there heads together on pricing.
It was part of deal i did for purchase, but i still would of paid it.
So im thinking its about normal unless you got time shop around.
