Hi all. New to the forum and looking for some information. I’ve just put a deposit down on a 2015 caddy maxi combi 1.6 tdi and just wondering how much the vehicle tax is going to be. Is it classed as a car as it has 5 seats and windows? Any information greatly appreciated and will be spending some time on this forum. Thanks

It depends what it says on the V5c. If it says M1 it will be passenger car rates if it says N1 it is commercial rates.
It does not matter if it has seats and windows unless it had them from the factory and was registered as a M1 vehicle.

Don’t forget the speed limits are different as well.

I was a little surprised that the blue motion doesn’t attract a better rate. Still £335 per year.

Caddy Life is classed as a passenger car for tax class, etc. The Log book will show M1 type approval if its a genuine Life model.
