Owned my van for about a year now. Was pretty tastefully modified upon purchase but bought it as a "75% there" job. In the year I've had it I've battered it as a joiners work van. Good few dents. Somebody snapped the mirror off, pot hole cracked an alloy, bumpers need spraying again etc so now starts the big resto to get it how I actually want.

Issues / upgrades needed

Rear seat conversion (completed last week)
Strip and repaint bumpers (just rattle canned by previous owner and flaking)
DIY PDR adventures!
New front seats (Mk8 golf purchased last night)
New headunit and rear sound
Full interior carpet / alcantara cover
New alloys
New lowering system (stance plus on it are ROUGH)
MFSW (Mk8 golf purchased last night)
New design headliner
Rear electronics (USB etc)
Mk8 hybrid bumpers

The list will no doubt evolve as I go ! Starting a thread so I can keep track of it and share how I'm getting on.

1st job in the redo was the rear seat conversion last weekend. Seatbelts arrived this week to fit this weekend as currently rolling with 5 seats and 3 working belts!

Also managed to find the Caddy life sliding door trims the finish off properly into the new footwells.

Looks good. This will be the first upgrade for me when I collect my van at the end of the month.

Whats the difference with life mirrors? is it that they are heated?

They're both the same shape for a start ! The standard mirrors being different shapes killed my OCD. They look more like a golf mirror than a van. Pic attached for comparison

I just picked up my Caddy on Monday and spent a good five minutes trying to work out if the mirrors were different shapes or if I was just imagining it.
