Update- Unfortunately as of 120 miles after draining, re-filling tank, and pulling the injector off to check for a blockage, still no joy.
Now looking at a map to remove the adblue countdown.
Did you manage to drain the entire adblue tank? Probably 8/9 litre tank.
Have you had anyone clear the faults or can you do this yourself?
I'm sure by now you are an expert with this problem and considered the NOX sensor. It's an expensive part but does seem to be a common cause of these problems.
Though I don't have a dash light yet. I do regular scans and I have had an intermittent fault with insufficient SCR that I have cleared a couple of times.
I suspect I will be in your position at some point and trying to balance the expense of chasing a fault with alternative solutions.
I can't find any definitive answer to the question of MOT failure for adblue delete but that would be my choice when it comes.
It seems absurd that an engine would be designed to stop working for a fault that can persist without damaging the engine.
I drained the tank until no more would come out, around 8 litres came out, topped back up with the good stuff, no joy.
I had considered nox sensor, but It could have been a dead pump also, either way it would have cost a good chunk of cash to make it go away, and then something else could go and you're back to spending again.
I've had it mapped out today, problem solved for a one off payment.
