Timing belt or chain

I bought a second hand 2017 Caddy and not sure if the timing belt has been changed or water pump.
Before I dive in with the hammer.

The cover is black type plastic, not silver metal, so I am thinking it is a belt not a chain. Haven't taken it off yet.
147Km on the clock

Inspecting the belt teeth and the white printing wear is a thing to see the age?

Any hints would be good.
Seems to have been serviced by VW til 63,000Km/2020 but the "Toothed Belt" is ticked no on the service sheet.

Thanks

I'd deffo have it changed if unsure. Better than the consequence of it going.

I sort of knew this was the answer, just trying to avoid. Time to youtube instructions ;)

Definitely a belt and most definitely worth doing if you’ve no history of it having been done.
I just changed mine. It’s a pretty straight forward job on these engines if you have the tools.
