Yes mate Just cut the loom tape back. Be careful not to cut any other wires though!

If you would like the extension loom stanthevwcaddyman or tommyzoom may be able to help make one. Their contact info is in this post: https://www.forum.caddy2k.com/viewtopic.php?t=55909

Yes the coding is easy once you follow DOC's instructions in the How To Tread. viewtopic.php?t=36953

Thanks for taking a look over the build tread. If I hadn't discovered this forum it would still be standard no doubt. This forum has brought me countless hours of enjoyment, reading posts, studying parts and wiring and carrying out the work.

Firstly massive thanks to @FishermansFriend and @gazza31112.

Managed to install them today.

Headlights work and thats about it but will do for now gets me about. Still need to fettle the positioning of the assembly but its in and roughly sat ok.

Again cheers for the heads up on the cabling needing either adaptors or the black wrap stripping back abit in order for the plugs to reach.

I stripped both back just slowly working with a Stanley blade taking my time to ensure I didnt catch any cabling. ( touch wood i didnt)

Did both sides just to ensure neither would be under any tension when plugged in( passenger side was the shorter one for me ).

But they're in and as I said headlights work indicator works I think mainbeam works one side but I can drive at night is the main thing so will wait on the coding side of things.

Again thanks for the help.

Unfortunately not at the required posts to PM or receive them I don't think. Would really appreciate it though can double check against the coding I've created last night just by trying things but its still not 100% still got issues.

I've managed to get some coding going I've currently got to this point playing around with bits ( my only concern is I dont have front fogs or will that not affect it )

The coding i'll try today is
Long coding:
491A0A3E8025E16A08880082904008 6C0385C20842008020648487000045

Cheers again for all the help

@VWMxVan
My startline caddy never came with front fogs, but i was able to code the xenons perfectly to the bcm. Bcm is standard and not been upgrade like some have done.

If you have fog lights then you will need to upgrade your BCM. I have a 5K0 937 086 AA and will support fog lights and many more mods if you want to do them in the future.

@FishermansFriend
Would that include heated seats etc ? Looking to do them in the future and install fogs by way of a highline bumper one of the hybrid bumpers but again these will be in the future so happy to run my current BCM for now with the xenons and a few other bits.

Looking at hillstart assist aswell as I beleive my van came with it so hopefully still has the sensors to enable this.

Again massively appreciate the help from everyone sending in bits to try and help. Will let you know if the coding etc works just praying I didnt nick a wire when stripping back :shock:

Thanks again.

@DW2207 @FishermansFriend @gazza31112

Thankyou very much all for your help sorting this from checking parts and coding help is massively appreciated and all sorted for work this weekend good few days off work spent doing it so really happy.

All works really well pleasantly suprised by the DRL's too up the side

Hopefully no more trouble with them but really happy with them and really glad theyre so far worth the cost to upgrade.

Thanks again all.

Hi, not 100% sure buddy, but this should help you out. Screenshot of my one.

Should add, the bcm on this van was able to support front fog lights, heated seats etc going by the long coding lists.Image
