Hey everyone,

Recently purchased a 89 Mk1 Caddy 20v which is only partially rebuilt which was for sale at dubbers sports. Not sure if anyone knows the car?

I will be doing a detailed build thread and the plan is to work out what parts I have and will need then go from there.

I've wanted one of these in this exact spec and it was too good to miss out on. Progress will be slow until next year as i'm recovering from back surgery but i'll get as much done and keep you all updated

Cheers

Hi mate, what an epic purchase - this could well be an interesting read as the thread grows! Hope the recovery goes well in the meantime, going to be brimming with ideas once your back on your feet I reckon...

Cheers mate. I’ve started an insta and TikTok so I’m going to push the build on as many platforms as possible. You’re correct! I’ve already got a list as long as my arm.

Here’s the links if anyone wants to follow. There’s a good video of it running.

Engine bay as it currently stands. I’ll get some better pics - these were from Dubbers Sports.

It’s been fully smoothed and had the conversion fitted. Lots of parts missing, but I’ve got a trailer load of spares for it

On to the pedal box, this has been done by the previous owner (the majority of the conversion which has made life a lot easier)
First time for me seeing this type of setup up close. Throttle pedal needs mounting but as far as setting the brake bias for F/R. An inline proportional valve seems a lot simpler

Nice to see another Mk1 owner on here, I’ve got a 1990 mk1 that I swapped a remapped ARL PD engine into, it flys! I’ve always been intrigued to see what a 20v would be like in one.. I’ll be watching this :D
